Specifically, do not use the "Red Hook Studios," "Darkest Dungeon," or "Darkest Dungeon II" trademarks and logos.
You must make clear that your items are unofficial, and not related to or authorized by Red Hook Studios. (For example, Fangamer and Mythic Games.) We’ve only extended this permission to a select few trusted partners over the years. However, you are not permitted to mass-produce or mass-distribute items unless you have our express written permission. Making and selling limited, hand-made fan merchandise inspired by our games is generally fine, and does not require getting express written permission from us. If you are interested in creating and selling fan merchandise, here are a few guidelines we are asking you to follow: Previously we had a strict No Commercialization policy, but we wanted to update our rules to be a bit more flexible while still protecting our intellectual property. We also want you to have the best experiences possible when exploring your creativity. We are flattered and impressed by your creations inspired by our games. We reserve the right to issue takedown notices for anything that we feel infringes on our intellectual property. We see a large amount of fan creations, and our general guidance applies to all of them: Some of you have asked us if it's acceptable to create and sell merchandise based upon the characters and worlds of our games.
